Allen Latta, Founder and Managing Director
Allen has over 25 years of experience in private equity, venture capital, corporate finance, public offerings and mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to forming Campton Private Equity Advisors, he was the Director, Business Development, head of the US office and member of the Board of Directors of global private equity fund-of-funds manager VenCap International PLC.
Previously, he was an Executive Director in the Telecommunications Investment Banking Group at Bear Stearns & Co. and before that a Director in the Media and Telecommunications Group at CIBC World Markets. Prior to his career in investment banking, Allen was a corporate finance attorney with Morgan, Lewis & Bockius and with Buchalter, Nemer, Fields & Younger, specializing in private equity and venture capital transactions, public offerings, mergers & acquisitions and international business transactions.
Allen is also Of Counsel to the law firm Futterman Dupree Dodd Croley Maier LLP (www.fddcm.com), where he advises clients on corporate finance matters, including mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings, private equity fund investments, direct investments and secondary transactions.
Allen received an MBA in Finance with honors from The Anderson School at UCLA, a JD from UC Hastings College of Law, and a BA in Economics from UCLA.

Matt Oguz, CIO and Founding Partner
Matt is founding partner at Venture Science. His idea behind a new generation venture capital firm still stands today as the core tenet of the firm: make decisions based on math, avoid biases, and therefore escape human fallibility.
Matt is Turkish-American and studied at Tarsus American College and Ankara Science Lycée where he received two national science scholar awards in Physics. His academic admissions tests ranked in the top 100 students out of 1.5 million+ applicants. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Bogazici University and an MBA from Robinson College of Business at GSU where he studied principles of Decision Theory.

Jonathan D. LaCrosse is the Founder of LaCrosse Investments 374, LLC, an alternative investment placement firm dedicated to raising capital for funds and deals. He has more than 20 years of alternative investment experience, including fundraising sales in excess of $4.5 billion in assets, investing more than $4 billion in 165 funds, secondaries and co-investments, and roles on 35 Board Director and Advisory Boards.
Previously, he was Co-Founder, President and CEO of Trusted Insight, Inc, the largest online alternative investment marketplace focused on matching investments across new funds, secondary transactions and co-investments. Members include 400+ institutional investors from 90 countries. During his tenure at Trusted Insight, Mr. LaCrosse led a Series A financing from premier venture capitalists and leading financial technology angel investors.
From 2006-2009, Mr. LaCrosse was a Founding Partner of Centinela Capital Partners, LLC (separate accounts with CalPERS), an alternative investment fund-of-funds with over $1 billion of assets under management and a focus on emerging managers. He was an investment committee member involved in the approval of over $825 million to 41 deals and served on 7 advisory boards.
From 1994-2006, Mr. LaCrosse was an Investment Officer at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation where he was in charge of its private equity, below investment grade credit and real assets strategies, including sourcing, executing, and monitoring investments. He led all efforts with regards to due diligence on investment proposals, the negotiating and structuring of key investment terms in partnership agreements, building of financial models and the trading of in-kind distributions from leveraged buyout and venture capital funds. Mr. LaCrosse was responsible for investing over $3.1 billion in 121 alternative investment funds, including over $730 million in 37 emerging manager funds. While at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Mr. LaCrosse served on 25 advisory boards across the following types of funds: buyouts, venture capital, growth, secondary, mezzanine, distressed, real estate, timber, and fund-of-funds.
Mr. LaCrosse earned an M.B.A. from Rider University and B.S. from Rowan University. He holds Series 7, 63, and 79 securities licenses.

Kevin McCaffrey, Director
Kevin McCaffrey is a Vice President at LaCrosse Investments 374, LLC, where he focuses on business development, deal origination, and raising capital. He will also expand the firm’s reach and highlight clients’ expertise in relevant events and media. He has more than 20 years of financial and operational experience across corporate environments and the capital markets – including private equity, venture capital, real estate, equities trading, equity research, and market research.
Before joining the team, Kevin built the PartnerConnect conference series for Thomson Reuters. Starting with the launch in 2011, his focus was connecting institutional investors with fund managers by leveraging events and media services through several acquisitions. He presided over 12,000 pre-screened LP/GP meetings and accelerated fundraising efforts for hundreds of funds in Private Equity and Venture Capital primarily.
Mr. McCaffrey also launched market research services for Frost & Sullivan and equity research services for a NYSE Broker/Dealer following a successful exit from his own real estate and construction company.
Kevin earned a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University, where he also played Division I Lacrosse.

Hershel Mehta, Private Investor
Hershel Mehta is a Venture Capitalist in charge of U.S. investments through his Family Office’s proprietary fund called Mehta Ventures. He has gone through the entrepreneurship journey himself, having published a mobile application in the Apple App Store in 2015, and Hershel uses that experience to help guide entrepreneurs through their own journeys.
He finished his Venture Investing Education through the Executive Education Program at the Wharton School of Business. Likewise, he is a CPA certified by the CA State Board of Accountancy. Hershel has invested in 16 deals this last year. Since joining his Family Office in 2018 he has executed 23 startup investments in total.

Jeffrey Horvitz, CEO
Jeffrey E. Horvitz is Vice Chairman of Moreland Management Company, a single family investment office in Beverly, MA and Mayfield Heights, OH established in 1987. He has done hundreds of fund investments in the US, Europe, and Asia. He also developed proprietary US and international low cost, tax-sensitive non-indexed passive stock portfolios with long term top performance.
He has published in the Financial Analyst Journal, Journal of Wealth Management, Journal of Investments, and Pensions & Investments, on topics such as tax deferral and tax loss harvesting, portfolio rebalancing, asset allocation, the estate tax, fiduciary duty law, and the art market. He co-authored the CFA Research Institute monograph, Investment Management for Private Taxable Investors. He is a frequent speaker at investment conferences on a wide variety of topics.
He is well known in the art world for his extensive collection of French old master drawings and paintings for which he was awarded the Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Ministry of Culture in 2012 and is an honorary trustee of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. He and his wife Carol also collect Chinese cinnabar lacquer and Japanese contemporary ceramics which are actively loaned to more than a dozen US museums.
He has a B.A. and M.A. in sociology from University of Pennsylvania and an M.A. in psychology from U.C.L.A.

He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of California, Los Angeles, and his MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
